Overview
This screening layer compares exposure to coastal flooding using a common set of terrain, settlement and scenario indicators. It is designed to make planning assumptions visible before a detailed assessment.
The index is a comparison aid, not a forecast or regulatory determination. Component layers remain available for inspection.
Method
Terrain, settlement and scenario surfaces are normalised to a common grid and combined into an exposure class. Each component retains its source date, scale and interpretation note.
